
Jamie Kennedy
Jamie Kennedy is a lifelong equestrian professional whose career in the horse industry spans nearly five decades. Raised in her family’s business, Kennedy Show Horses, she began her equine education under the guidance of her mother, Penny Kennedy, an accomplished horsewoman, instructor, and judge. Since 1975, Jamie has dedicated her life to the training, development, and education of both horses and riders across multiple disciplines.
A certified Master Trainer and Instructor, Jamie has extensive experience in Western, English, and driving disciplines. Her expertise includes Western pleasure, equitation, trail, reining, showmanship, barrels, timed events, hunt seat, saddle seat, jumping, dressage, carriage driving, and competitive endurance riding. She has successfully developed individualized training programs ranging from foal imprinting and colt starting to advanced show-ring preparation and conditioning.

Background
Throughout her career, Jamie has worked with a diverse range of breeds including Arabians, Quarter Horses, Paints, Thoroughbreds, Tennessee Walkers, Appaloosas, Morgans, Paso Finos, Saddlebreds, Friesians, and crossbreeds. Her background also includes breeding management, veterinary support, and equine care, with experience in artificial insemination, foaling, stallion management, registration paperwork, and medical record keeping.
Jamie’s accomplishments extend beyond training and instruction. She has served in leadership and supervisory roles involving staffing, scheduling, event organization, customer relations, marketing, and youth horse programs including 4-H and FFA events. As an instructor and clinician, she has taught riders of all levels through lectures, seminars, clinics, tours, and apprenticeship programs, mentoring students in both horsemanship and competitive riding.

Accomplishments
Her own competitive background is equally impressive. Jamie was active in FFA and 4-H, becoming an Arizona State Champion in seven events. She later earned three Rodeo Queen titles, two PRCA titles, and a National Military Finals title. Over the years, she has trained under and studied with many respected horsemen and horsewomen, including Richard Shrake, Hilda Gurney, John Charles Sari, Eitan Beth Halachmy, Merle Lacy, Mike Neil, and Rick Nabb.
